Romeo Jurani graduated with a BS in Mining Engineering from the Cebu Institute of Technology University, Philippines. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Nevada and is licensed as a construction & mining operations engineer in the Philippines, Australia, Canada and the United States. He is involved in several community services and professional organizations. He is former Region Chair for NaFFAA Region 11 for Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and former State Chair for NaFFAA Nevada. He was awarded “Outstanding Region Chair” among NaFFAA Regions in 2012, and as NaFFAA Region 11 Chair, he guided and helped distribute medical aid worth $650,000 to northern Cebu for the Typhoon Haiyan victims.
He is Executive Director of PBSN’s Medical Missions,rendering free medical, surgical, and dental services to indigent patients in the Philippines; Owner, Trustee, Founder, Co-Chair of Jurani-Catarata Scholarship Foundation, offering several free scholarships to needy intelligent Filipino college students; Founder and Past President of Technical Organization of the Philippines; Past Chair of Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration Engineers, Southern Nevada and Author of technical publications referenced in Mining Industry & US Dept of Energy;
Founder and former President of PBSN, the largest Filipino organization in Nevada; Founder and former President of the Society of Filipino Engineers, Architects and Technical Professionals; and Founder and President of Cebu Institute of Technology University Alumni Association, Las Vegas. Additionally he is Hospitality Minister Group Leader & Marriage Mentor at Christ the King Catholic Church.
