Eric Lachica
Organizer, US Medicare PH, Inc.
Eric Lachica is the organizer and incorporator of the US Medicare PH, Inc., an advocacy membership organization founded in 2011, that campaigned to convince US leaders to allow long-term Medicare benefits coverage in the Philippines. Lachica is a son of a Filipino American World War II veteran. He was the executive director of the American Coalition for Filipino Veterans with more than 4,000 members across the United States. He is a registered lobbyist in Washington DC. His coalition led the successful campaigns that passed five bills in Congress that provided more than $300 MILLION in total benefits for the Filipino WWII veterans and their dependents. They also obtained President Obama's Executive Order on the Filipino Veterans Family Reunification. He trained and organized hundreds of leaders of community groups for actions on Capitol Hill over the years. Eric graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.A. degree in Political Science. He also attended the International Relations Masters Program at the California State University in Los Angeles. He and his wife Carolyn reside in Gaithersburg, MD.
