Rozita Lee

Since its inception in 1997, she has held NaFFAA positions as State Chair, Regional Chair, and National Vice Chair. Her focus was and is to encourage civic engagement among all Fil-Ams in order to experience political empowerment. For many years she also sought equity and recognition for the Filipino World War II Veterans. Rozita was a former White House Commissioner serving on President Obama’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. She was influential in the appointments of AAPI Judges: Federal, District, and State. She has been an accomplished advocate for the Asian Pacific community for more than five decades effecting policy changes and inclusion, while holding many positions. Rozita serves as Advisor to the National Federation of Filipino American Associations and the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Nevada or the FACCGN. She had been an elected national Vice Chair for four years where her focus was to work with the late U.S. Senators Harry Reid and Daniel Inouye to pass Congressional Legislation for deserved financial benefits and Congressional Gold Medal recognition for the Filipino World War II Veterans.

We will talk about each Commissioner and their journey to being appointed, where the commonalities of the work different Administrations led on, and what they do for the community now!
