Largest Federation of Filipino American Organizations Announces Its Nationwide Membership Drive

Washington, D.C. (September 10, 2020) — The National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) is having a membership drive that will run until December 31, 2020, offering complimentary memberships to individuals, students, and organizations that are not currently enrolled as members. The complimentary membership will be valid for one year. (Enter "JOIN" as your coupon code after filling out the membership page to waive the membership fee.)

With 14 regions that make up the NaFFAA organization and a significant Filipino American representation in most states, the reach and depth of NaFFAA’s network is substantive. Through NaFFAA, individuals can work with others who are like-minded in having the same interest in empowering the Filipino American community.

Each individual and organization who signs up to become a member on NaFFAA’s website within the next 60 days becomes part of the organization’s national network of Filipino Americans. They in turn can help further NaFFAA's mission — to promote the welfare and well-being of Filipino Americans throughout the United States, amplifying their voices, advocating on behalf of their interests, and creating platforms and programs for their empowerment. Members will have access to events where elected officials, business leaders, community leaders, prolific performers, and young leaders come together for virtual regional and national gatherings. They will also have access to NaFFAA's network of community partners and class recordings of their recent Entrepreneurial and Economic Webinar Series.

Additionally, NaFFAA members receive discounts to NaFFAA events. Members have voting rights to elect NaFFAA leaders and they are eligible to run for NaFFAA leadership positions. Organizations can have logo representation in NaFFAA's e-newsletters, on its website, and on its social channels. To avail of the complimentary membership, just enter "JOIN" in the coupon box during payment.

NaFFAA’s Membership Co-Director Los Angeles-based Gio Duaqui says, “I joined NaFFAA to give back to our community and to share my experience in business and my time on various nonprofit boards. During these unprecedented times, NaFFAA should feel like home to anyone who is looking to make a difference. Let us know what you want to share and contribute. Any amount of time you give back brings us one step closer towards building our collective voice of over 4 million strong Filipino Americans. Join us.”

Gio’s Washington D.C.-based Membership Co-Director, Mark Arevalo said, "I became involved with NaFFAA over 4 years ago because of the inspiring leaders that are involved and the positive contributions they make to the Filipino American community. I've always been involved in Fil-Am organizations at the local level, but I saw this as an incredible opportunity to make an impact on a larger stage with a national organization. NaFFAA has been a wonderful experience and allowed me to connect with my culture, meet other amazing leaders, and give back to the Filipino American community."

"For anyone that has thought about becoming a member, now is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of a complimentary membership and become part of the largest national affiliation of Filipino American institutions," he adds.

NaFFAA envisions a unified Filipino American community that is culturally, economically, and politically empowered and engaged. Become part of this vision by joining NaFFAA today!
