Established in 1997, NaFFAA has promoted the welfare and well-being of the more than 4 million Filipinos throughout the United States. NaFFAA\u2019s vision is to serve as the voice of all Filipinos in the U.S. by uniting, engaging, and empowering diverse individuals and community organizations through leadership development, civic engagement, and national advocacy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>OVERVIEW<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NaFFAA seeks a full-time Executive Director to oversee the organization\u2019s fundraising, programmatic, advocacy, and communications efforts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reporting to the Board of Governors and its National Chairman and Executive Board, the Executive Director (ED) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for NaFFAA\u2019s staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. She or he will initially develop deep knowledge of the community, core programs, operations, and business plans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage NaFFAA\u2019s day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and recruit volunteers to coordinate key functions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Direct all fundraising and organizational growth efforts, including philanthropic, corporate, and individual partnerships<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supervise all programmatic efforts, including the National Empowerment Conference, Civic Leadership Forums, Federation Forum, Empowering Pilipino Youth through Collaboration (EPYC) Program, FilAm Vote Program, and others<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oversee membership growth in consultation with NaFFAA\u2019s regional leaders, and manage NaFFAA\u2019s CRM database<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Track legislative and advocacy efforts with federal, state, and local officials<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supervise strategic communications through press releases, social media, and interviews with Filipino American press <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serve as main liaison to community-based organizations and external coalitions, including the National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA) <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure commitment to and compliance with all applicable laws and 501(c)(3) regulations across the organization<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create a culture of transparency and communication, and proactively address challenges in internal and external environments<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by NaFFAA\u2019s Board of Governors<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At least 5-10 years of experience in non-profit management or related fields<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior experience in a senior leadership role managing staff and volunteers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong track record in fundraising, programmatic, advocacy, and communications efforts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to cultivate relationships with diverse stakeholders, including funders, community leaders, youth, elected officials, and press<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge of Filipino American issues, needs, and leaders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to navigate the political landscape and thrive under pressure in fast-paced environments<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deep understanding of financial strategies and finance-related performance metrics<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong aptitude for verbal and written communication and presentation skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Flexibility to work extended hours and to travel as needed<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to work legally in the United States<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bachelor\u2019s degree required, graduate degree preferred<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>COMPETENCIES<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leadership and Navigation: Consensus Builder, Mission Driven, Change Management<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ethical Practice: Integrity, Courage, Professionalism<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Communication: Diplomacy, Persuasion, Feedback<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business Acumen: Strategic Agility, Business Operations and Logistics, Systems Thinking<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>COMPENSATION<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Executive Director is a full-time position based in Washington, DC.
