NaFFAA\u00a0 Issues Statement Following Mass Shooting in Jacksonville, Florida<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

Washington, DC<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Following today\u2019s deadly shooting in Jacksonville, Florida, the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) issued the following statement:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNaFFAA is horrified and saddened to learn about yet another mass shooting, this time in a city too close to home: Jacksonville, Florida,\u201d said NaFFAA National Chairman Brendan Flores. \u201cDeadly violence like this has no place in a civilized society, and we unequivocally condemn such reckless and destructive actions. We pray for the victims, their families, and others suffering in this time of grief and confusion. NaFFAA and our local Florida leaders offer our support to those affected by this tragedy.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Anna Lopez Brosche, President of the Jacksonville City Council, said: \u201cI am horrified and saddened by the tragic mass shooting and loss of life in Jacksonville today. I am keeping the victims, their families, and the City of Jacksonville in my prayers and I extend my thanks to our swift and able first responders.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
