(650) 867-9837<\/p>\n<h1 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span>NaFFAA\u00a0Responds to FCC\u2019s Wireless Infrastructure Streamlining Order<\/span><\/h1>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Washington, DC<\/strong><span> \u2013\u00a0<\/span>In response to the FCC\u2019s Wireless Infrastructure Streamlining Order proposal, NaFFAA National Chairman Brendan Flores issued the following statement:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe lives of people across the country and around the world are brought together and enhanced by the Internet. Today, the world watches as diverse communities and marginalized voices in America are finding a voice, advocating for their rights, and growing inclusive communities online, where many of today\u2019s political and civil rights movements are rooted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cContinued momentum is dependent upon widespread access to a strong and affordable Internet. The development of next generation 5G wireless broadband will be the catalyst for civic participation and expanded rights for all. That is why NaFFAA supports federal efforts to improve procedures for 5G deployment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe support FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr\u2019s proposal\u2014the Wireless Infrastructure Streamlining Order\u2014to simplify the permitting process and reduce the cost of building 5G infrastructure to better reflect the minimal burden of \u2018small cell\u2019 wireless facilities.
