October 6, 2017 Washington, DC<\/b> \u2014 On Saturday, October 21, 2017, the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) will hold its 20th Anniversary Gala at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. With its theme \u201cNaFFAA 2.0: One Voice, Four Million Strong,\u201d the Gala will recognize NaFFAA\u2019s twenty-year legacy, and highlight its comprehensive vision to unite and amplify the voices of the four million Filipinos and Filipino Americans living in the United States. \u201cNaFFAA 2.0\u201d represents how NaFFAA is honoring its past while forging a new forward-thinking and balanced approach in uniting, engaging, and empowering diverse Filipino American individuals and community organizations.<\/p>\n \u201cThe significance of this momentous 20th Anniversary celebration cannot be understated,\u201d says NaFFAA National Chairman Brendan Flores. \u201cFor NaFFAA to be able to commemorate twenty years of advocacy and leadership, in our nation\u2019s capital, during Filipino American History Month, is a testament to the ingenuity and vision of our founders, the perseverance of our regional networks, and the emerging power of the greater Filipino American community. I invite everyone to come witness what an empowered community coming together looks like.\u201d<\/p>\n NaFFAA\u2019s 20th Anniversary Gala is expected to draw hundreds of attendees and media representatives from across the country and will feature prominent speakers, performers, and dignitaries. During the Gala, NaFFAA will recognize and confer special awards to key Filipino American leaders, organizations, and corporate partners.
