The tragic incident at the campaign rally in Butler, PA, underscores the urgent need for unity and the rejection of violence in all its forms. Our hearts go out to the family of Corey Comperatore, who lost his life, and we extend our wishes for the swift recovery of former President Donald Trump.<\/span><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.38; background-color: #ffffff; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt; padding: 0pt 0pt 12pt 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Roboto,sans-serif; color: #0d0d0d; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;\">Asian American politicians across the country, including Vice President Kamala Harris, have condemned the shooting, labeling it an assassination attempt. President Joe Biden has also paused his campaign efforts to condemn the incident, emphasizing the importance of unity in these trying times.<\/span><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.38; background-color: #ffffff; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt; padding: 0pt 0pt 12pt 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Roboto,sans-serif; color: #0d0d0d; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;\">NaFFAA stands firmly with all communities in condemning any form of violence, whether it be physical, verbal, or systemic. The Filipino American community has a long history of advocating for peace, justice, and the protection of democratic values.
